* We are often blinded by our own flaws — We need unbiased advice.
* Counsel allows us to avoid mistakes

1. Those who will tell you the truth
2. Spiritual people
3. Those who are mature and experienced
The barriers to good counsel
1. Seeking agreement instead of truth — Seek out those with good reputations.
2. Waiting too long
